What is the Cutera Laser Genesis?

Cutera Laser Genesis is a non-invasive treatment for treating acne and acne scarring using controlled heat. The laser kills acne-causing bacteria while also improving redness and scarring typically on the face and neck. Specifically, it treats sebaceous glands when too much oil is produced and clogs the skin pores. In addition, the treatment can help shrink pores and smooth out lines.

The Cutera Laser Genesis Treatment Process

During treatment, the area is typically cleaned and given a local anesthetic to numb. Protective goggles or glasses may also be required if treating the entire face. The laser sends out pulses to destroy damaged tissue. Depending on the area being treated and condition, a minor burning sensation may be felt.
