Skin Cancer

Unfortunately, skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the U.S. The primary cause is exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light, whether outdoors or in tanning booths. Early detection of skin cancer is the key to effective treatment – 99% of skin cancers are treatable when caught in the beginning. Our team is great at detecting skin cancer before it becomes a bigger problem and treating effectively.

Acne

Acne is the most common skin issue in the U.S., with over 50 million Americans affected each year. Severe acne can cause low self-esteem, especially during teenage and early adult years. If you suffer from acne, we offer the latest treatments to give you the beautiful skin you want.

Common Skin Growths

There are a number of common, non-cancerous skin growths that can appear on your skin, including moles, cysts, skin tags and more. These are harmless most of the time, but if you notice growths that are changing, itching or bleeding, it’s important to have them evaluated. Growths can usually be removed if they become painful or you simply don’t like the way they look.

What Our Patients Are Saying

Providing care and attention to our patients for over 15 years makes a difference. See what real patients have to say!

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Gutierrez! This doctor worked wonders for my daughter and her eczema. I moved out of state and have yet to find a comparable dermatologist. I am seriously considering checking to see if my benefits would cover an out of state visit because Dr. Gutierrez has been the only dermatologist able to calm and clear my daughter’s eczema flare ups. Great doctor great service.

Cerissa R.

I love Dr Gutierrez. She’s done wonders for my skin and for my daughter’s rashes. She also speaks Spanish!

Lilac W.

My son had some warts burned off there and they were wonderful and nice...other dermatologists just gave us crappy ointment that never worked on the warts.

Why choose a board-certified dermatologist?

Trust your skin care to a professional. Board-certified dermatologists have completed medical school and three to four years of advanced medical training in diseases of the skin, hair and nails. They’ve passed rigorous exams in dermatology to specialize in treating over 3,000 conditions. They’ve also made the commitment to keep up on the latest advances in dermatology.

How can I make or reschedule an appointment?

Scheduling or updating an appointment is easy. Simply give us a call or you can make an appointment on our website.

How can I prepare for my dermatology appointment?

If coming for your first visit, please bring your insurance card, if applicable, and a legal guardian if you are under the age of 18. Please come prepared to provide your health history on your new patient paperwork as well.

What should I expect during my initial consultation?

Your first visit begins with a consultation with your board-certified dermatologist. Prior to care, we will get your health history and perform a clinical evaluation of the skin to determine which treatment options are the best fit. We will customize both a treatment plan and a skin care regimen if desired. Important pre- and post-treatment instructions will also be provided to accompany most treatments.

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept a variety of major insurances for your skin care. We have examples of insurances we accept on our website. If you don’t see your insurance listed, please contact us and we will verify if we accept.

What is the difference between a deductible, copay, and coinsurance?

All three are medical charges you must pay out of your own pocket, even if you have insurance. Deductibles are a specific amount you must accumulate and pay each year of covered health services before benefits are provided by your carrier. Plans may also have separate individual and family deductibles and/or deductibles for separate services. Copayments are a set fee the member pays to providers at the time services are provided. Copays are applied to office visits, emergency room visits, hospital admissions, etc. Coinsurance is a form of cost sharing. After your deductible has been met, plan will begin paying a percentage of your bills. The remaining amount, known as co-insurance, is the portion due by the patient.
