Dr. Victoria Godinez-Puig is a board-certified dermatologist, and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). She is also a fellowship-trained and board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon, and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (FACMS).
Dr. Godinez-Puig grew up in Mexico City. After completing the French Baccalaureate Diploma in Science with Honors awarded by the French Ministry of Education, she earned her medical degree at U.N.A.M, the most prestigious medical school in Mexico. During her time at U.N.A.M, she was recognized with the “Gustavo Baz Prada” award for outstanding public service.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Godinez-Puig moved to Chicago to complete a research fellowship at the Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit of Northwestern University. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at NorthShore University HealthSystem, and a Dermatology residency at Northwestern University, where she served as chief resident during her final year of training. Following residency, Dr. Godinez-Puig completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of British Columbia, where she received extensive training in Mohs surgery, as well as advanced reconstructive surgical procedures.
When Dr. Godinez-Puig is out of the office, she enjoys spending her spare time travelling and trying new foods.
