Vbeam®

Vbeam Remove unwanted pigmented lesions caused by dilated blood vessels.

Vbeam

The Vbeam is a pulsed dye laser, which means that the laser energy is delivered in pulses and a dye is used to generate laser beams of different colors. Since the Vbeam is used to treat dilated blood vessels, as in rosacea, it is often called a vascular laser. This laser removes unwanted red pigmented lesions caused by dilated blood vessels. Most people are candidates for Vbeam, however factors like age, type of lesion, color of lesion and location on the body all need to be considered. We ask that you come in for a consultation first so that the doctor can determine if you are a candidate.

The benefit of the pulsed dye laser is that it is quick, effective and very tolerable. There is a cooling system that makes the treatment comfortable. The laser uses heat to dissolve the walls of the dilated blood vessels. The body then reabsorbs the waste and flushes it through the lymphatic system.
