Belotero®

Ideal for Reducing Fine Lines

Belotero has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction.

Belotero

Belotero is one of the lightest dermal fillers available, and it is ideal for someone who wants to reduce fine lines around the lips, corners of the mouth, and minor marionette lines (the lines from the corners of your mouth down toward your jawline).

While Belotero is made of the same material (hyaluronic acid) as some other dermal fillers, Belotero has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth) as well as more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Belotero is clinically proven to last up to six months or longer. Treatments can and should be repeated as needed.

  • What Type of Results Will I See?

After injection into the skin, Belotero dermal filler instantly plumps the skin and smooths facial wrinkles.

  • Is There Any Downtime Associated with the Procedure?

The procedure is very quick and easy. Prior to filler injections, a numbing cream is applied to the site. Some patients may experience mild swelling or bruising at the injection site that lasts anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Cold compresses can be applied post treatment to reduce any potential side-effects. Camouflage makeup may also be used. Most patients can return immediately to work and resume normal activities. We recommend that patients avoid aspirin, vitamin E supplements and alcohol for 5 days prior to any injectable procedure to minimize the risk of bruising. The doctor will discuss your medical history at your office visit to rule out any contraindications to this product.

  • What Treatments/Procedures Can Be Combined with Belotero?

Filler helps with restoring volume to areas, but sometimes additional treatment like Botox® or Dysport® may be needed to help soften some excess muscle contractions which result in the formation of lines. Treatments to help the epidermis and general skin health such as DermaSweep, chemical peels, laser resurfacing and a customized topical regimen will help accentuate the injectable treatment. The combination of multiple skin therapies can effectively treat a wide array of signs of aging.
