Pre-Treatment Instructions

Your provider will let you know if you need to use any specific products beforehand. Not all treatments will require this.

One week prior to appointment, discontinue the use of any retinol containing products. 
If you have a history of cold sores, please let us know. You will be given a prescription for Valtrex to prevent an outbreak. Please take 1 g the night before and 1 g the morning of your treatment. 
Radiofrequency treatments work best on well hydrated skin. Drinking ample water (at least eight 8 oz glasses of water a day) and using hydrating skin care regimen in the weeks before a treatment will yield better results.

What Does Treatment Feel Like? 

A topical numbing is applied prior to treatment and most patients describe the treatment as tolerable with minimal pain, only a mild heat sensation with light pressure. This can vary depending on the depth and area treated.   

How Long Will the Treatment Take? 

The actual treatment will take around 20 to 45 minutes depending on the area to be treated. 

How Many Treatments Will Be Needed? 

Typically, three treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart, provide the optimal experience and outcome for patients. While results can be seen immediately in some patients for skin tone and texture, there is also compounded improvement in the three months following the treatments, with the process of collagen regeneration increasing during that time. 

What Results Can I Expect?
