Non-surgical Hair Restoration

Stimulate Hair Growth

Our hair restoration options include PRP and Benev Exosome Regenerative Complex +

Non-surgical Hair Restoration

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy uses the infusion of concentrated platelets taken from the patient’s own blood to accelerate healing in a specific area.

For treating hair loss, PRP contains eight essential protein growth factors that can stimulate dormant hair follicles due to androgenic alopecia and push them into the growth phase. After a series of treatments, many patients achieve 50% or more improvement.

PRP with Benev Exosome Regenerative Complex +

Along with PRP for hair loss, we include Benev Exosome Regenerative Complex + for increased results. Similar to PRP, exosome therapy applies growth factors to produce collagen growth. However, these growth factors are produced in a lab rather than in a patient’s own blood.

The regenerative complex, which includes messenger RNA, micro-RNA, and cytokines, has a high concentration of growth factors and is effective for many patients. Each treatment session includes three steps. First PRP is injected into the affected area. Next microneedling is performed to create mircoscopic channels in the skin. Finally, Exosome Regenerative Complex + is applied topically to the area.

Pre-treatment Instructions

  • Patients should avoid aspirin and NSAIDs for one week prior to treatment. Taking blood thinning medications in the week prior to treatment reduces the number of platelets, making the treatment less effective. Tylenol is okay to take if needed the week prior.
  • Patients may continue their topical treatments up to the day of treatment.
  • Alcohol should be avoided at least 3 days prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
  • Drink plenty of water prior to your appointment to make the blood drawing process easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How Long with the Procedure Take?

The entire treatment, including preparation of your PRP in our practice, cleaning your treatment area, and injection of the PRP into the scalp, microneedling and applying exosomes typically takes less than an hour for most patients.

  • How Many Treatments Will Be Needed?

We recommend starting with three treatments, four to six weeks apart for best results for most people with thinning hair as an initial treatment. Regular maintenance treatments every 6 months to a year following your treatment may be recommended to maintain results.

  • What Will I Be Like After Treatment?

You will leave the office with the exosomes on your scalp. Your hair will be messy and damp with the exosome serum, so you’ll want to go directly home. You may bring a hat to wear. We ask that you not shower the exosomes off until the following morning, so it’s best not to have any plans for the rest of the treatment day. Exercise should be avoided the rest of the treatment day. The following morning you can shower and style your hair as usual. Hair color should not be applied for 48 hours after a treatment. It is expected to have mild swelling or feel lumps in the area after the treatment and usually resolves after one to three days. Patients may experience a feeling of pressure in the area for a day or two

  • What Type of Results Can I Expect?

Although improvement in hair texture, thickness and new hair growth can usually be seen within weeks after treatment, it typically takes three to six months from your initial treatment to see measurable results. Best results are seen in patients who are also taking oral medications or supplements for hair loss and using daily topical hair loss treatment.
