Scott Zahner, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified Mohs surgeon at Aesthetic and Clinical Dermatology Associates in Hinsdale and Saint Charles, IL. His special interests include Mohs surgery for skin cancer and cosmetic dermatologic surgery.
A native of the Chicago Western Suburbs, Dr. Zahner earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. He then graduated with his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago before completing an internship in internal medicine at the Bexar County Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Zahner rounded out his training with a residency in dermatology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he was named chief resident in his final year.
Dr. Zahner is certified by the American Society of Mohs Surgery and board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He has given several presentations at medical conferences and has been published in various medical journals for research in his field. He was also recognized by Consumers’ Checkbook in their list for Top Physicians in Dermatology.
He is a member of various professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, American Society for Mohs Surgery, Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons, Chicago Dermatological Society, Dermatology Foundation, and the Illinois Dermatologic Society.
