Stephanie Freels, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with the team at Aesthetic and Clinical Dermatology Associates. Dr. Freels is a long-term resident of Chicago’s western suburbs and is proud to provide comprehensive dermatological care to patients at the practice’s offices in Saint Charles and Hinsdale, Illinois. She specializes in cosmetic dermatology and skin care.
Dr. Freels earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. She completed her medical degree and internship in internal medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She also completed an oncology research fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago before finishing her dermatology residency training there in 1990.
Throughout her career, Dr. Freels has given numerous presentations and lectures and had various research articles published in medical journals on subjects in the field of dermatology. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Freels has also had various academic appointments over the years at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is presently an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. She is also a consulting physician at Hinsdale Hospital.
Dr. Freels is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Chicago Dermatological Society, Illinois Dermatological Society, American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, Women’s Dermatological Society, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Omega Alpha.
